The Bettes Doctrine -a memorandum- My name is Tim Bettes. I’m of no importance. I have no fame attached to my name. I am extremely observational. My puerile days have come to an end. I’m an idealist, but short of a perfectionist. I believe life is too short to detest. I’m deeply interested in politics. I dream to make a difference. I’m my own philosopher. I speak on a higher level. I’m very often criticized for speaking so logical. I strive for excellence, and yet always fall short. On a side note, don’t let this fool you. I’m not all business. Ketch me on the weekend, I party. Unfortunately for you, I only look out for myself and my fellow members. I trust no one, and neither should you. I’m out to get mine. I look at what will happen, not what’s happening or what has happened. Wrong me just once, and I want absolutely nothing to do with you. I surprise many, and disappoint few. My mind wonders continuously, but never dares to venture inside the box. I have so much to learn, and yet so much to teach. I think the thug life is over rated. I believe I’m better than you. Because I’m rara avis, But I wont come over that way. I do my own thing, and they follow. Fighting is lame and degrading, and only a last resort in my book. I read books. I read my daily newspaper with my daily Starbucks. I strive not to be a statistic.
