I come from the north, I've lived in the south, now I live in between.I love ice and snow and winter. The cold to me is a symbol of purity. There's a cooler silence in the air like it's daring you to violate it. The snow crunches under your feet and the air sharply bites at your lungs.Sometimes it feels like the world is paused the snow falling on more snow that hushes everything, and you walk through it like you are last person still unfrozen on earth.

There's a place in the woods I used to like to go to that was formed by an ice storm. There were
many young trees about 5 inches in width. They had all been bent over by the ice
in such a way that they all bent towards each other and were overlapping at the
top. After an ice storm the trees can be covered with ice and it looks amazing,
like a dangerous but beautiful crystal cathedral.

I'm usually an easygoing person. I don't like to lead
or follow anyone else. I think of most things as patterns that are waiting to be discovered or how things
are linked to each other. I like to do things calmly and without hurry if I can. Many ideas don't fit into
neat little boxes of right and wrong.

I like to play online games that can be cooperative sandboxes like Garrys Mod
and Second Life. I ran a dedicated server with a mountainous winter world that I
built for some time for the Garrys Mod game. I liked the game because you could
work together in a virtual environment building all sorts of things instead of
just running around shooting other players which I find pretty boring.
After I got tired of that I moved on to the Second Life game.
