If you have already signed up for Stickam you can not sign up again using the same e-mail address. If you are having other problems please contact our support team at support@stickam.com and let us know what error you are receiving.

If this does not solve the problem, then e-mail us at support@stickam.com with the e-mail address you used to sign up and your username (http://www.stickam.com/your profile URL).

Check to make sure you have the right password. (Password is case sensitive.) If the problem still persists, contact support@stickam.com. However, if you have received a 1016 Error message by the site administrator you may have been banned for violating the Terms of Service. If this is the case, please contact abuse@stickam.com to dispute your ban.

Yes you can. Go to your "Edit Videos" page and click on the "Record Video" button on the right. Videos recorded using this function will automatically be uploaded to your movie gallery page. You can also record while your are Live. Simply hit the record button to begin recording your live stream.

If a visitor is viewing your web cam, you will see the number of viewers the right of the yellow "lurker" icon above the list of people in your host chat. If the visitor has entered chat mode, you will see the name of the person on the right-hand side of the chat box.

Yes. Only if the visitor has his/her own Stickam account.

Yes, they can. When you 'Go Live', the volume button to the left of your chat window controls the volume of your microphone. You can also adjust your microphone settings by right-clicking the chat window (on PC) or pressing CTRL + click (on a Mac) and clicking 'Settings'.

There is no limit on the number of people you can have connected to your chat session. You can have as many people connected to you as your system resources would allow. You are limited to 6 guest video spots though.

When you are logged into your account, you are considered "Online". You are considered "Live" when you start your host chat by hitting the "Go Live" button above the navigation bar or on your MyPage. When you are Live your profile thumbnail will be listed on the "Who's Live" search page. If you wish not to be listed in "Who's Live", you can adjust your privacy preferences by clicking on 'Edit Preferences' and then, 'Video Chat Settings'.

Stickam supports Unicode text encoding to use multilingual text.

Nope. That is the beauty of Stickam. Now you can broadcast your webcam without worrying using up your own bandwidth resources.

Stickam Player is available in five different sizes, 160x160, 160x400, 400x160, 480x480, and 340x290.

It is not required but it is strongly recommended.

If your company's LAN provides you a "Private IP Address", you can't. In that case, please provide an internet connection with a global IP address. Its also recommended you have port 1935 open.

In order to use Stickam, please install Macromedia Flash Player 8 or higher. Also, use Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Firefox 1.5 or higher for Windows. For Macintosh use Firefox 1.5 or higher or Safari. (** Enable Cookies and Java Script.)

Please enable JavaScript if you haven’t already, and your browser security lever should be set to"Medium" level or lower. If you use a pop-up or AD blocker, please disable it if you are still having problems. A Firewall may also block the connection depending on the setting. If you have a problem while using the video chat, close any other applications to free up more system resources.

1. If you are on a PC: Right-click anywhere on the Stickam Host Chat Interface. If you are on MAC: press "CNTRL" and click anywhere on the Stickam Host Chat Interface.

There may be a conflict among the devices that are connected to your computer. If the driver software of your camera is working properly and recognized by your computer, then check to see if there's any conflict among the devices. In many cases, computers with TV tuners have this kind of problem.
1. Right-click on "My Computer" and then choose "Property".
2. Click on the Hardware tab, then open "Device Manager".
3. Look to see if there's any conflict among devices.
4. Disable the device that is causing the trouble.
* Also you may want to close some communication software, such as Windows NetMeeting.

Any USB or Firewire enabled webcams or DV cams should work with Stickam.  If you are still having trouble be sure your webcams drivers are installed properly and your webcam is plugged in BEFORE launching your web browser.

First of all, stop any form of contact with that person. Ignoring the person is probably the best way to have that person stop harassing you. If the harassment is occurring during your own host chat session, you have the option to kick or ban the user from your room by clicking their username from the list and selecting the form of action you want to take. If this person continues with his actions or makes any threats please contact your local law enforcement immediately, and contact us at abuse@stickam.com so that we are aware of the situation and user.  If the user is appearing nude on camera you can click the red flag icon in the upper left cornerof the users screen to Flag the user which automatically sends a video to abuse.

Stickam is concerned about the safety and privacy of all of the members of our community, especially minors. However, it is important to keep in mind that Stickam is intended for broad general use and some users may consider some content available on Stickam is offensive, indecent or objectionable. AVC can not be held responsible for any content Posted by Stickam users. While Stickam has established rules keeping children under the age of 14 from becoming a member, it is easy for children to lie about their age and thus gain access to Content which may be inappropriate and unintended for them. It is up to parents to properly supervise their children's online activities. Certain parental control protections are commercially available which can assist parents in supervising their children's online activities such as computer hardware, software, and filtering services which can be used to block a child's access to websites such as Stickam.com. Fill out the calendar located on your My Page, and include the time, date, and description of your next live Stickam webcast. Be sure to check the box that says “request to be featured."

We want you to impress us! The best way to get our attention are to do these three things:

• email radio@stickam.com to let us know about your upcoming shows / events that you plan to stream and WHY you think you should be featured
• fill out your calendar to let us know when you will be live
• and last but not least, upload / record / archive some of your previous webcasts or events, so we can get a taste of who you are

Please note that we do get a high volume of requests, and cannot guarantee featuring your show or event. We do appreciate your interest, and will do our best to accommodate!

After you've applied, the Stickam community will be able to view your Details page. You will be able to continue editing and revising your Details page up until the application deadline on January 20th.

January 23rd - A secret panel of Stickam judges will announce the Top 20 applicants who will continue to the next round. At this point, the Casting Call will be placed in the hands of the Stickam Community. Stickam members will be able to vote once for their favorite applicant to proceed to the next round. The Top 10 semi-finalists will be announced and each will then be notified of their first video challenge.

February 3rd - The Stickam community will be able to view all of the semi-finalists’ video challenge entries and vote for their favorite one. The Top 5 vote-getters will advance to the next round.

February 10th - The Top 5 finalists will be announced and each will be given more in-depth questions to answer as well as be challenged to produce another video.

February 19th - The Stickam community will be invited to join us live for the Casting Call Finale broadcast from Stickam headquarters in Hollywood, California. The top 5 finalists will be put through various challenges and must overcome unseen obstacles before being subjected to a final voting process. One correspondent will be chosen by the Stickam community.

A Stickam Correspondent is someone who will act as an official Stickam show host for specific, designated events. The chosen correspondent of this first casting call will be an on-camera host for Stickam’s live coverage of the 2008 SXSW convention in Austin, TX.

You must be a member of Stickam.com, be at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States of America.

The chosen correspondent will receive round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and a per diem for meals and incidentals, and $2,000.

The maximum time limit for video is 2 minutes. Keep in mind, shorter is better!

We allow only one "Details" page per user.

When you submit you Casting Call application, the information you filled out will appear in a Casting Call profile called "My Details". The Live Community can check out your "Details" to watch your audition video and learn more about you to aid in the voting process.

No, you cannot participate with more than one buddy.

You may not use copyrighted music for you video/s unless you have received legal permission from the artist/band.
