Something cannot come from nothing. 1. If something exists, then the state of absolute nothing never existed. 2. Something does exist. 3. Therefore the state of absolute nothing never existed. In other words, something always existed. Not only is there no evidence of the thing that theists refer to as god; it is not needed in order for the universe to exist.
Time is a measure of movement or activity. It is impossible for time to have begun, because in order for any thing that is claimed to have started time, time had to have already existed with that agent.
The universe is everything that exists. By definition, there is no such thing as outside/beyond time or outside/beyond the universe nor is there such a thing as supernature
The Big Bang is not the beginning of the universe. The Big Bang is merely a cosmological model of the initial conditions and subsequent transformation of the universe as it is now
The first sentence in the bible, "Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth", is a presupposition. A presupposition, as in this case, is the implicit assumption that something theists call god exists. Truth is the actual state of a matter and conforms with fact or reality. A fact is knowledge or information based on real occurrences. It is something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed. Since god has not been proven to exist and no evidence of god has been exhibited, god is not a fact and since the entire bible is based on Gen. 1:1, the bible is not the truth. Therefore, the bible, the quran, the torah, the vedas are works of fiction. This includes all other books based on 'god'. Religion is false. _______________________________________________________________ Cannabis / Marijuana (and other street drugs) Have Been Linked to Significant Increases in a Person's Risk for Schizophrenia http://www.schizophrenia.com/prevention/streetdrugs.html To compare alcohol with pot is a categorical error and a false analogy |
