Every now and then the scene welcomes a new singing sensation,
Anais, Female UK Rapper/Singer, Inherits her talent from her father Dave Quinn 80s writer/singer/musician,
Former band member and close friend of Al Hodge,International singer/writer/guitarist from a band called,
"The Mechanics"
The band worked on a wide range of projects occasionally touring and broadcasting with their clients and eventually through different identities such as "Smith & Jones"(with Derek Fitzpatrick) and the "Alan Hodge Band" And the "Golant Pistons" They released a handful of singles and played the occasional gig.
The band were championed by "John Peel" and BBC producer "Jeff Griffin" asked the band to play the famous "Radio 1 In Concert" The mechanics toured and appeared on British and German TV promoting their singles and were frequently featured on Radio 1.
Her father then went on to join the worldwide Rock/Pop Legend "Leo Sayer" as Bass player/Guitarist/Writer, with world tours.
He also worked with the likes of "Elkie Brooks" writing numerous songs for her
Her father also did session work for "Linda Lewis" a UK soul/reggae artist also,
"Lene Lovich"
He also worked with "Mike & The Mechanics"
Through this Anais is learning the ins and outs of the music industry, with a strong musical background she had always dreamed of singing professionally.
As time went on she enrolled on a college course and began to take advantage of the studio facilities in the college.
Its hard to keep talent quiet naturally it wasnt long before someone noticed her voice.
Next up for Anais was live P.A in an R&B nightclub in manchester, which received her high accolade from industry insiders but more importantly for Anais she says "The crowd loved it" responding well to her tracks.
She is keen to sing/rap but never lose touch of the underground vibe which has supported her thus far.
That night was her springboard, she was next approached by a management company who were clearly impressed by her vocal talents, her sultry good looks are not only visually stunning but add to the alluring vocal appeal she commands whilst performing.
Anais influences range far and wide, with the musical history in her family it obviously reflects in her ability to be so diverse for a lady of such few years.
To date Anai, currently unsigned has featured on albums and mixtapes worldwide, some of which are on sale in "VirginMegastores" and "HMV" She has been blessed enough to work with some of the industrys top producers and is currently working on a number of projects including her solo album!
