About Me
I won't say I'm middle aged because I have no idea when the end will come for me. I look forward to each and every day of my life. I live for my family and its growth. I'm a romantic and find that I am the one who will remember those important dates, remember lyrics of "those" songs and smile whenever I think of my spouse. For you Scouters, I'm Woodbadge trained (1977) and held the position of District Training Chairman for awhile until I moved. My old troop was Troop 3, founded 1914 in San Francisco (still alive and kicking). Haven't been back with Scouting since my sons decided not to pursue it after their cub scout years.
I am Here for:
I am here to get away from the daily grind of life in the real world. This is MY time and I wish to be around those I can chat with, real people I can be around and not have to worry about the boss looking over my shoulder.

Hobbies:
My hobbies range from time travel and dimensional travel to (ahem) Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (the live action Japanese TV series) and asian soap operas (I have a list of what I've seen so far on my Tagworld site). I enjoy working on my personal website and my Tagworld site. My personal site is actually a story of my life...something to leave to my sons. My Tagworld site is a place to just express myself, relying heavily on YouTube video finds. I have this craving for scientific and historic facts/factoids. I'm not admitting to know enough to be a trivial pursuit master, but I know enough to hold my own at parties and chime in when the subject moves me. Then there are also my collections of stamps (mostly US commemoratives and Calhoun gold collections), comics (have most of the first run of Marvel's Thor comics), Star Trek Hallmark ornaments (got 'em all so far) and "interesting" DVDs. I try to collect complete sets, but then don't we all?

Favorite Movies:
Sci-Fi's, chick flicks, sensible comedies and musicals. If they carry a time travel element to them, I consider them on the top of the heap.

Favorite TV Shows:
Currently I enjoy asian soap operas, but most of them can be viewed on Crunchyroll.com. As for US television, I'm hooked on the CBS crime shows like "Cold Case", "NCIS", "Numbers" and the CSI shows. I also watch the teen shows like "Smallville" and "Charmed". Call me a kid! Finally there are the comedies like "Two and a Half Men", "How I Met Your Mother" and WWE (yes, I find that wrestling show to be one big comedy). The sci-fi shows aren't the same as they use to be, but occasionally I stay up to watch "Stargate, SG-1" and "Twilight Zone". The one thing I don't watch are reality shows. Reality for me is me living my life. That is reality enough for me. When I watch television I want to escape reality, not watch someone else's reality.

Favorite Music:
I tend to listen to inspirational souind track music like the ones on my site here. I'm into lyrics when there are vocals involved. Remember the song "American Pie"? Not the movies, the song.

Favorite Books:
I often judge a book by its cover. I'm into sci-fi and time/dimensional travel themed books.

I Love:
Love is a very powerfull word and as such is reserved for those I care deeply for like my family and very dear friends. I will say that I appreciate the following....

* Beauty in its purest form. One can find that here at Stickam and in most of the blog sites like Tagworld.
* A plan that works.
* A compliment now and then.
* Those who would give someone a second chance when the first impression fails.
* Fine and junk foods. I enjoy eating.....but in moderation.

I Hate:
Hate is such a destructive word. How about what annoys me? These annoyances include....

* People who think they know how to drive.
* People who use their bodies and their looks to attract friends onto their sites here and at other sites like Tagworld.
* Pets, but only because I have allergies.
* Then there are those allergies.
* Having to eat in moderation because of my health.

Did you know that it has actually snowed in San Francisco three times during my lifetime?  The second and third times were not too eventful unless you consider walking through a snow shower on the way to school eventful or just hearing of it from friends.  There was actually snow on the grass at the community college.  I tried to take a picture of it using the family Poloraid camera, but the resolution was rotten.  Bear in mind it was taken with a '60s camera and in black and white - quite the dinosaur in the late '70s.

However, the first time I remember it snowing was a fairly big deal since it was the first time that I actually got to play in the snow.  This happened back in 1961.  For many of you who are use to seeing snow in the winter, this would be no big deal.  For me and my younger brother, this was SNOW.  Sure, the snow was only visible on the grass in front of the house, but we were able to have snowball fights and build snowmen....kinda.  My brother and I really weren't comfortable handling the snow with mittens.  We didn't realize that snow stuck to knitted fabric.  We were just outside briefly so as not to catch cold, but it was an experience that will never be forgotten.
