Something You Should Know About Me
Why do we do what we do?
Some do it for others, some do it for what others will think. I do it for me. Not in a selfish way.
I have proposed to friends that there really is no such thing as altruism. If you give of yourself for no other reason than to give then you feel good about that and therefore you are gaining something by it. The only way acts of kindness can not be selfish are if the person is a nihilist and who wants to be that unfeeling?
More about me: this is the important stuff. I like the color blue but hell, so does everybody. I like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. I really like flipping omelets and I'm really good at it but I cant spell omelet, thank god for spellcheck. One of the favorite times in my life, I was 10 and it rained real hard and the stopped and the sun came out and in the field by my house there was a big mud puddle and I walked through it and it felt so cool the way the mud squished between my toes. I like the word squished, I think it is one of my favorites unless it applies to me after a day of rockclimbing.
