my name name is christopher laque. i am 32 year old husband, father, and coach. i played sports since the age of 5. c.y.o was my start. now as an adult i have come full circle coaching and vp president of zone 4 c.y.o.and st.leos. i have 3 great kids chris and christine 11 johanna age 3. my lovely and supportive wife, whom sometimes i seldom see, is jennifer. i have coached on the southside and northwest sides of town since 2003. i started with st.leos baseball and basketball coaching my son's teams. i have been very fortunate in not only getting good atheletes but great young men to teach. ive enjoyed not only teaching sports but life lessons and the pitfalls. ive been blessed with a very devoted coaching staff and parents who understand that hard work is key to shaping these young men. i started coaching football in 2005 for the san antonio predators thundercats flag team. we went 4 and 4 and with a very young flag team. the next year in midgets we were 7and 1 rookies 6 and 2. the following year i coached at harlandale and we went 5 and 3 but that was a big accomplishment since the prior was a winless season. i worked very hard in recruitng players from the southside and it payed off. i decided in 2009 to go back to my home with the predators. this year we are preparing for a successful year and journey deep into the play offs. again i am blessed with talented kids who give their all and then some. my goal is to teach and make a difference in the lives of the boys i coach. maybe one day i can go see a college game featuring a player i coached or maybe when they are fathers they will be coaching along side of me.
