Hello, I'm Dave. I was born deaf and with cerebral palsy, which has me confined to a wheelchair. I do not speak so I use a device called dynavox that speaks for me. I also use dynavox to type on the computer; it tracks what I want to say by using a camera that follows my eye movements and I select words and phrases that way.

I'm happy with life and don't care for being pitied or having people feel sorry for me. I have awesome friends and family, and although I get depressed sometimes, I'm usually in a good mood. I don't understand people who "can't handle" my disability, I'm the one who's disabled! I guess I make them nervous but there's no need, I'm just like any other guy.

My sister is my best friend in the world, she interprets conversation for me by using sign language and she helped me with this profile. Sometimes my typing is hard to understand because I have always been deaf and am used to sign language, which is different from spoken English.

I love stickam because I can travel all over world and meet lots of people. I admit that I'm shy around girls though, lol.

I make a good friend so please add me and talk to me. it gets very boring here, I like meeting friends from all over! Thank you.
