| YO YO YO YO . what up y'all. World famous DJ Big Joe is in the HOUSE!!!!! DJ Big Joe was conceived in Queens New York in the year of the monkey June of 1980. Anyway. Im from both coast's. How, you say? Well like i said earlier, i was born in NY, and then my family moved to Los Angeles in 1987. From there i grew to be a snot nosed crybaby. untill in 1992 my parents again decided to move back to NY. That was one decision im glad they made, because if not ill probably be some fucking idiot. from there i was groomed by the soothing sounds of Hot97. i used to always have a tape, YES Y'ALL I SAID A TAPE!!!, in he boombox with play record and pause all pushed down, and when i heard one of my jams i liked i just unpushed pause and there it recorded. i must have made about 20 of those tapes. i Always used to rock a walkman, EVERYWHERE!!! i used to listen to Funkmaster Flex, and DJ Red Alert everyday at home. They are the reason i wanted to DJ. they did incredible things that i always wondered how the hell they did that. Eventually my parents decided to move back to LA. so in 1996 we packed our shit and moved out west. it was real strange. major culture shock. i fucking hated it. i wanted to go back to NY so bad. but i am real glad that my parents took me out the hood cause if not then i would be in some real deep shit now. lts fast forward to 1998 when i graduated high school, and my parents sat me down and told me basically to ge the fuck of our house. so i joined the navy. the best decision i made in my life!! i hated the Navy but i learned a lot and grew up real quick. i was in florida for a while training to be an air traffic controller, then went to San diego for three years. then after that i had the chance to live overseas in Spain. the best moments in my life were in spain. i traveled all around europe and connected with a lot of real special people in my life. Now lets fast forward to May 2005. thats when my enlistment was up and i opened a new chapter in my life. started to go to school at MT. San Antonio College(MT. Sac) i put in my application to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). When i was in spain i bought some turntables and a mixer finally. then i found out about Scratch DJ academy. i enrolled and now 1 yr later i am having a blast learing from the greats in LA. now what the future hold for me only God knows.........
