Music has always been a passion for Kevin James. His earliest experiences with music were listening to rock bands in the very late seventies and early eighties. At the young age of five he received his first guitar as a Christmas gift from his parents. He spent the next ten years taking lessons, and later began teaching himself to play songs from bands like Led Zeppelin (still the biggest musical influence in his life), Jimi Hendrix, and Cream. It was during this period that he learned the importance of complete dedication and constant practice. This is something that always stuck with him, and would eventually become key in his entrance into the art of djing. Kevin was first introduced to electronic dance music and specifically house music in 1996, and two years later he began throwing parties with a good friend under the production name “Children of The Sun” or “C.O.T.S.” for short. He had fallen in love with this fresh new sound and immersed himself in it. In September of 2000 he began his own journey behind the decks after a friend taught him the basics. He was addicted from the very beginning just as he had been with the guitar years earlier. Kevin began buying and collecting records immediately, and spent every spare minute he had practicing his new craft. Within the next year Kevin began playing out at his own parties, and playing as many guest spots as possible for friends and other promoters. He has spent the last several years honing his mixing skills, and getting as much experience as possible playing out live. Kevin is currently focusing his energy on getting more exposure to the public, and is also looking forward to starting production on his own music in the near future.
