My name is Armand. It's German for Herman, and it means "soldier", or more accurately, "army man".
I've always felt somewhat disconnected from everyone and everything else. I am not interested in the activities that most people my age are into. Some people might consider me antisocial, but actually, the converse is so. I find joy in the simplest things, and dare not engage in mindless conversation with society's ignoramuses. This place...the life we live is disgusting and so are most people out there. The impurities of life...the ones that we allow ourselves to engage in dissatisfies me. Therefore, I choose a path of loneliness. I'd rather be alone than afflicted by what there is out there.
As opposed to materialistic beliefs which state that anything can be explained by breaking it up into its pieces (The big picture can be understood by its smaller elements.), I believe that the big picture can be explained by observing aspects of a bigger picture.
I do not like to be classified. But if I did, I'd consider myself an idealist. Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.
