EVE MAURO
2009 will be a big year for Eve Mauro on the silver screen. First up for her, will be opposite Val Kilmer and Armand Assante in The Steam Experiment and she will also be seen in the Fox Atomic feature Playboys. Eve will follow this with a supporting role in the highly anticipated adaptation to Sid and Marty Krofft’s hit television series, The Land of the Lost, opposite Will Ferrell.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, to a Sicilian father and a Russian mother, Eve is the youngest of five siblings. Eve grew up in Orlando, Florida and watched Greta Garbo films which inspired her to become an actress.
Eve moved to Los Angeles at the age of 21 and started modeling in order to break into the industry. Her first non modeling gig was in Madonna’s “Hollywood” video in which she played a French Maid. After that she studied intensively with Joanne Baron, DW Brown, Ivanna Chubbuck and Leslie Kahn. She aspires to emulate the careers of fellow thespians: Woody Allen, Kevin Spacey, Judi Dench, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman.
Eve is a passionate supporter of four charities very close to her heart including: Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, Save the Children and Susan G. Komen Cure for Cancer.
When Eve is not acting, she likes to read, travel, write, play poker, see movies and drink fine wine. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
