Something You Should Know About Me
Envy me. Rate me. Hate me. Either way you ain't me.
Anything bad you have to say about me I have already said about myself. I am my biggest critic, and I know how I look and how I act, and I happen to like both aspects. If you don't like me, that's too bad, you don't have to live with who I am so you can kindly show yourself to the door.
Starting today I turn to the next page. This part of the story has yet to be written, and this time, I refuse to let anyone else hold the pen. By allowing other people to affect me, I've allowed them to morph my life story. This is my book, and only I have the write to change it's plot, because I'm the one living it. Today, and from now on, I am the only person I need to please, because if I can't approve of myself, I don' believe anyone else will.
Starting tomorrow I am never looking back. The mistakes I have made are done, and they have only molded me into the person I am today. If I'm always looking behind me, I will never see the doors that are opening in front of me.
And from now on, only I control my destiny. If you don't like the way I'm living, no one's making you watch.
If you're not part of the revolution, you're part of the problem.
