Spreading at the speed of sound from the "heart of it all", Friday Night Fever is proving to be more contagious then ever. With their rambunctious rhythms and bootylicious beats, mixed with unmistaken melodies and steamy story-lines, FNF's music possesses eternal potential. Their charismatic stage presence is so intense; it stimulates your eye-sockets and puts ants in your pants. You will dance until you just can't!
“We we’re looking for something different than what’s already been done before! Our previous projects did not bring us the satisfaction we were looking for. We wanted something fun and inventive to bring out our true character,” says Joe Beregszazi and Steve Shull, members of Friday Night Fever. In the fall of 2008 founders Joe (guitar) and Steve (drums) united with Luke Mitchell (vocals) on a whim. Hours away at college, Luke called for an audition. "Something just didn't feel right at school. I wasn't happy. I couldn’t concentrate on homework and I’d stay up till 3 A.M. in the conservatory at Capital University just playing piano and writing songs." says Mitchell. Luke quit college halfway through the semester after earning the spot as FNF's front man. It was a perfect match. After a relentless, seemingly never ending search for a bassist, Derek Foust moved back into town when his previous band came to a halt. Dying to play music again, Derek not only fit the part, but added his own flavor and funk to FNF's already sterling reputation. Foust says with a smirk and a bit of confidence, "I like-a-the-way-the bass plays! But seriously, I’m so stoked to be a part of this band. I never thought I’d get so close to 3 guys, in a non sexual way…haha!" Steve adds, “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. I’m so pleased with the direction we’re going, and I’m glad we’re focusing a lot on the business side of things.” FNF spends endless hours writing and perfecting songs every day of the week. “Practice is more than just getting together and running through the set. I want people to ‘hear’ how much effort goes into a song; from a flam hit to the final production. We’ve spent months on certain songs just to get them right,” sings Joe (in his head voice). Derek supports, “We’re not here to settle. We’ve all seen success and failure, and we’re here to do everything right the first time.” Luke adds, “I can’t even count how many times we have compromised or sacrificed ideas in order to please everyone in the band. We always come out with a better product because we get along so well. It’s ridiculous how well we work together! We hardly ever have conflict, and when we do, it’s solved in minutes.” Friday Night Fever looks at obstacles and adversity head on, as motivation tools they use to push their limits and exceed their own expectations as well as those of others. Tons of ambition, dedication, and hard-work has brought forth many promising opportunities for these aspiring musicians. This is one fever you can't sweat out!
