The nickname predates the group, but with a word like HippoJuice how can you not incorporate it and start a YouTube channel and a podcast? That’s exactly what Nate, Royce, Ryan, John, Jason, and Marie did. We started out humble – one small handicam, iMovie editing, and stories that were rough around the edges and unprofessional. But with every new idea, we got bigger and better, with inspirations like the Lonely Island, Tim & Eric, and Wierd Al. We eventually got better cameras, lights, microphones, computers, software, and a green screen! Our projects got more ambitious over time. We started out with video improv, then moved onto writing scripts, music, then hosting a podcast. Some of the programs and equitment we use: Adobe Director, Flash CS4, Photoshop CS4, Dreamweaver CS4, After Effects CS4, Premiere Pro CS4, Illustrator CS4, Soundbooth CS4, Logic, Acid, Motion, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Fetch, ToonBoom, Maya and Poser 7. Over the years, we’ve had members come and go. Jason moved on to Hollywood to pursue a real job. He still comes back once in a while to humor us. Marcia and Katie are our newest members, and are major talents. We welcome anyone who would like to join in as a guest in a video or podcast.
