First, if you want to use your Web Cam make sure no other application is using it. (e.g. MSN, AIM, Photo Booth, etc.) Usually only one application at a time can access your
Web Cam. Be sure the camera you are using is plugged in and on before launching your web browser.
Sign UP
Sign Up for a Stickam Account if you don't allready have one.
Log-in
Go Live

Click on the
GO LIVE button in the upper right hand corner
of the site, to start your own live chat session.

Choose your privacy level.
Everyone allows
non-members of Stickam to join your room.
(Users under 18 are not allowed
to choose this option.)
Members Only allows
only
Stickam Members to join.
Friends
Only allows on people on your friends list to join.
Public Cam Off turns off your stickam players webcam feed but keeps it on
inside your Live Chat Window.

When the live/video chat window loads, a dialog box,
Macromedia Flash Player Settings, may also appear.
Click


To avoid having to do this each time or to set up your
mic and web cam, right click (or control click for Macs) on the screen with
the button in the upper left hand corner and select the
Settings... option
for the Macromedia Flash settings.

This brings up the Flash Settings window for your browser.
Click the
Allow button and the
Remember box.

Next select the
microphone
tab and
choose your mic input from the pull down menu.
Here you can also adjust your mic volume and reduce
echos by checking the
Reduce Echo Box.

Now select the web
cam
tab and
choose your camera input from the pull down menu.
Then press
If you have multiple Web Cams, you can
go back to the flash settings web cam tab to switch between each one.
