"Hello, We are 'I Am Grace, Defined' and we are a ministry"
These are the first words you will hear before the first chords are strummed and the music starts.
I Am Grace, Defined's sole purpose is to reveal a new side to Christianity that many eyes don't see or attempt to see and many ears don't hear or attempt to hear.The bands musical journey was initiated in the summer of 2009 by Johnny Coobs in an attempt to bring a genuine, humble, and passionate message through the use of driven music to a dying scene in desperate need of something unique and grand. I Am Grace, Defined's lyrical content delves deep into the ideas of the flaws that we all face, but are afraid to admit.Three weeks after the band was started, I Am Grace, Defined went into the studio with Andrew Wade to record their first single,"Receiving Satellites" in hopes of it becoming the first stepping stone to a musical endeavor. They are diligently writing their first EP titled "So Far From Home" and they hope to release it in Winter. As for their sound, I Am Grace, Defined has found a particularly melodic, catchy and yet tough original sound, and hopes that this will set them aside from other bands in their current scene. Keep an ear out for I Am Grace, Defined, for with a little bit of time and patience, they will evolve into something great.
"We want this band to stand for what we believe and feel in our hearts but at the same time let everyone know that we are not here to preach or push our religion or choices to anyone, we want everyone to understand that there is a bigger meaning in the lyrics and music that is written, we want to spread a message of humility, love, positivity to everyone, these lyrics have put our hearts on our sleeves for everyone else to see and we welcome anyone who can relate to requote these words of ours for the world to share. We talk about our flaws as a human beings and how we all lack direction. We are asking for help, we are asking for someone to help us up, or guide us, because we've lost direction. It's a very sensitive subject, but we want to say what others may not dare to speak of at times, for whatever ever reasons they may be. We want to become one of the pioneer's of musicians and bands who speak their minds, honestly but correctly with humility. We hope you all welcome us with open arms, for we will do the same no matter who you are, or what you believe. There is a little bit of everything here for everyone to enjoy, have patience, and eventually you will find it, I promise."
