For well over a decade, Linda Leigh, AKA DjL3, has been deeply involved in the world of electronic, experimental and dance music, having logged many hours behind the decks as an event, radio and Internet Dj.
Spinning in a notably broad range of genres, she has become renowned for her ability to build mix performances that target a sound, style or surrounding, then deliver a journey of musical expression that take the listener on a dream-dance at the edge of mind, body and emotion.
In that time, she has also been a curator-extraordinairé, overseeing the assembly of one of the most comprehensive libraries of electronic, experimental and dance music in the world. The thousands of 12" vinyl recordings, as well as a sizable number of Compact Discs, are extensively annotated by genre and graced by L3's unique onomatopoetic track descriptions that have the almost magical ability to capture the visceral impact of the music with words.
She has also been a dedicated supporter of the music and the people who create it, contributing to the study and popularization of its many genres in her online zine, 'The Technotic Times'. 'The Times' showcases L3's skill as a journalist and reviewer, and has garnered international recognition as a primary online resource for information on the work of producers, and artists involved in the electronic, experimental and dance music field, as well as the overall development of the subculture as a whole.
"I love the music so much, something about it helps drive me and keep me motivated - I just can't help myself, I just started doing it! I love performing - and being able to present the music with style while maintaining grace under pressure, as the truly wonderful DJ's know how to do - that impressed me, and appealed to me on so very manylevels. I felt 'at home' with the music, and the life.
I've DJ'd raves, lounges, basements, forests, radio, internet, clubs, coffeehouses, rooftops, art exhibits, etc! I love to build my performance based on the situation,to make its sound unique and special.
Collecting records, all kinds, is my passion! I had a radio show called "These Technotic Times" for several years at WTSR The College of New Jersey (and an Internet version of the same name for a bit), and did an online & email zine for a couple of years called, "The Technotic Times." The archives of it and the many, many reviews are online at www.technotica.com
With the support of my Husband, Robert, we have thrown parties in Philly, New Jersey & Conneticut, did an all ages night at a juice bar named Oz in Philly & were pioneers reporting live via cyber journalism from the New Music Seminar on 93 & 94. We have run Rave & event info lines, done promotion, and also were among the first live netcasting.

social studies, art, popular culture, psycology, family, health, health care systems, medicine, cooking, oh, and music.
Favorite Music:
Sounds fill my day - whether it's the sounds of the schoolbuses, morning traffic, and the coffemaker that add a rhythm to the am routine, to the final round of sweet whispers in the night. Electronic music all types -from ambient & experimental, to disco & trance, to house & trip-hop, to techno & gabber...but I also love rock & roll, and experimental, idm, and just plain weird music.
I Love:
I love the vibe music can create - one moment, you are sitting there feeling kinda, well, blah. And then, there's some music, and all the empty spaces seem to magically fill up! I have a need to share this great music I find - a Joy! And, presenting it in a way that creates a new experience in someones mind, that touches their soul and has the power/potential to change them forever is an awesome feeling that I will never get enough of.
I Hate:
waiting in line
