Artists use lies to tell the truth while politicians use them to cover the truth up.

Graffiti has existed since ancient times, with examples going back to
Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. Graffiti can be anything from
simple scratch marks to elaborate wall paintings. In modern times,
spray paint and markers have become the most commonly used
materials. In most countries, defacing property with graffiti without the
property owner's consent is considered vandalism, which is punishable
by law. Sometimes graffiti is employed to communicate social and
political messages. To some, it is an art form worthy of display in
galleries and exhibitions, to others it is merely vandalism. There are
many different types and styles of graffiti and it is a rapidly evolving
artform whose value is highly contested, being reviled by many
authorities while also subject to protection, sometimes within the same

We the people, in order to form a more perfect order, establish the commodification of justice, insure domestic tranquility by using our common defense as a terrorist distraction, promote the general welfare state, and secure the blessings of conformity to ourselves and our poverty, do ordain and establish this Constitution for a united state of grievance.

A wordy, perhaps awkward preamble but strong on commitment. Our order, our republic, stands up for all things that keep the constituency down. Republic parties preach for small government yet whet their beds with bureaucracy. Democrat hipsters hold court counting on cool-headed socialites and liberal agendas that offer no liberation.

Our war plan involves the department of defense suiting up kids in pickle outfits and placing them in the target of terror so that we can be domestically tranquil. This hot potato strategy is pretty solid so long as you're not the one staring down the wrong end of deployment orders.

People are so conflicted they can't make the right decisions. I immigrate to the television set, buzzed out on narcotic indifference, lampooning the lampoons, schmoozing for intellectual and emotional acceptance, trying to employ humanity as if they are human when they are nothing more than streams of information running across the coaxial.

Liberation of spray paint is authentic drizzle. Streams of consciousness set loose by fretful fingers make for great reality let alone crimes of art. Let's legislate for more genuine distress and anxiety and depress better caps for cooler information flow.

Executive, judicial and legislative branches are rotting off the trees. Organic healing is in order. Presidents that make love have more morality than presidents that make war. Not that I'm not for more war but it can't costume itself as the righteous fight. Becoming our enemies makes them victorious.

America, don't fear a future with chemically enhanced baseball players. It's the graffiti writers you have to worry about.

Words of Pain

The graffiti writer is the last great hope of capitalism. There are no annual reports, no stockholders or insurance companies to manage risks. No united nations, no united universe -- just individual sacrifice. The hero receives no reward and anonymously moves on to the next distressed damsel on the track. A free lie comes with every myth, though, so the wise don't believe too readily.

Many moral decisions are based on suspect information. We laugh at the media trying to package and sell a focus-group world with advertising by committee. We cringe at what capitalism has become. Marx was wrong after all -- but I don't have to tell you that -- you're already skeptical of one-size-fits-all solutions.

Not a minute passes when we aren't plugged into some psychic spin cycle. We justify each trip, each fall into our own crystal ball, as if every inward itch must generate an outward gaze. Our opinions have us whether we know it or not. It's all embedded bullshit.

No violence is ever justified and no charity is ever trustworthy. Disparagers revel in that, but I'm too cool to be a cynic. Point of view is everything. "Reality" has become a deconstruction of truth manipulated to serve the purposes of the preacher. Sheeple of the world unite under the staff of ignorance, bliss, helplessness and automation. The wiser walk past the circus and into the garden, where if you look for it, a little truth may be struggling into bloom.

Jesus said he who lusts after a woman in his heart has already committed adultery ... but what if I dream of good deeds while I hate my enemy?

Johnny Cash hasn't died for my sins yet -- but his words of pain wash me in the blood. The conscience of the world is in a guitar and a can of spray paint. Truth is not in the eye of the beholder but in the action of the vandal.
