ABOUT MOI

My name is Merlyna, knowing my full name shouldn’t be necessary. I’m pretty mature for my age so I have been told, but that doesn’t mean I wont make crazy jokes and act crazy with my friends and family sometime. I’m single at the moment and I was enjoying it but it’s getting a bit lonely haha. I’m in love with where I come from; I’m Jamaican, Cuban, British, and Native American. I’m 16 years old but in a few weeks that will change. I go to an arts school. Durham School of the Arts to be exact and I’m a junior. I LOVE hanging out with my family and my friends, dinner with the family is the highlight of every moment. I really love meeting new people and I’m not THAT shy once I get to know who you are. I never judge people by their looks, I always look at everyone’s personality before I judge them. I hate being judged myself so why should I do it?

As of right now I play the guitar and the piano, but I know how to play the drums, violin, and the alto sax. Music is without a doubt a big part of my life, and so is fashion. I love everything about it and I really hope to be a fashion designer or an editor of a fashion magazine one day. I also dance and sing.

MUSIC

I love all kinds of music. I will listen to it all from GOOD rap (notice I said GOOD) to really hardcore metal, and everything in between (jazz, classical, a little country, etc…). I love going to shows at The Brewery, The Lincoln Theatre, and The Cats Cradle, they have really good bands that play there and I LOVE to listen to them with some friends. I have a number of friends who are in bands so it’s amazing to listen to them play live.
