MASTER McCARTHY...Two Voices, Two Guitars, Two Songwriters.

What began as an innocent collaboration between two aspiring singer-songwriters has quickly grown into a bigger project than either expected. New York City-transplant, Bryan Master, met Michael McCarthy, a Vermont-ex-patriot now living in Los Angeles. Soon thereafter, they began working on each others' songs.

Music industry vet and now group manager, Dan Nash heard the gents and was instantly wow'd by their emphasis on lyrical importance, REM/ Simon & Garfunkel-esque harmonies, and edgy acoustic slant. So Dan contacted old friend and renowned engineer/producer, Niko Bolas (Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, Fiona Apple), who heard exactly what Dan had a week before. And seven days later, Niko began producing a satchel of original songs, including the four available above.

These songs were recorded in Los Angeles with the exceptional musical talents of Charley Drayton (drums), Bob Glaub (bass), Jeff Babko (keys) and the legendary Waddy Wachtel (electric guitar). Together, enough material for two full-length CDs has been recorded... so stay tuned as the particulars are worked out! In the meantime, watch for, and become part of, the increasingly active live presence of this very special, refreshing, musical force.
