Something You Should Know About Me
I have always loved music. It has been a big part of my life. Alot of heads in my family are either djs,singers or they played an instrument. When I was little I do remember seeing Jam Master J on TV and I was thinking about what is he was doing. I even had a Micky Mouse turntable when I was a little kid. Music got ahold of me and the rest is History...
The first moment i wanted to be a DJ was when i heard a Scratch DJ mixing on the radio. This was about the same time I met Chris Nelson aka Chris Roxstar. He came down to California from Hawaii. His set up was 2 turntables a ghetto mixer(Gemini). When i saw him mix, I said to myself, if he can show me how to mix,I will be able to do that too. He took me under his wing and began to teach me the basic of Djing. So 7 years and 14 Dj set ups late(lol), here I am mixing and i got to thank God for that and Chris Roxstar for taking the time to teach me for FREE from him i learned how to do long blends and power mixing . then around 2002 i started learning trick mixing from the mixkings djs.
dj bunty was the 1st mixkings DJ i meat back then he had mixes on web steams and dude had a style of mixing i have never checked heard before its was like break style in a way cuse that cat can make a break out of scratching up the hook of the record . DJ boabmatic and dj slitz and all the table gimps had a style that i have never heard before i saw them all live on there vids and i would say cause of them i mix the way i do with Chris Roxstar's style of long blends in music and mixkings stlyle of trick mixing music .
