Origins:
An experiment gone horribly wrong at Area 51, the Open Session crew managed to escape the confines of the laboratory and perform a hostile takeover on the airwaves. Be forwarned, for the Open Session crew is coming to get you!!!

420 freestyle at 11:20pm (PST):
When the show first started, it was at the graveyard hours of 3-6am. When 4:20am rolled along, we humiliated ourselves by freestyling at 4:20am. Hence the name, "420 freestyle". It was originally designed for special guest emcees to spit, but since we're not yet fortunate to have a guest every week, we still guarantee a "420 freestyle" whether rain or shine, wack or tight, you can catch it every week. It's wack rappin' at it's utmost worst (unless we gotz dope guest emcees).

Researching at the laboratories have brought us a technological breakthrough. Even though every episode of the Open Session is done live, we still manage to get you scenes from the next episode. Be sure to find out what crazy antics will we come up with next.

Get ready for your funny bone to be tickled. It's the unfunniest part of the show, that scary moment you've all been waiting for; it's the "Joke of the Day,..."
