yeah it's sad...I miss Passions but I got rid of DTV because they charge way to much and my phone company has a better package for TV! The people that make Passions should really see about going back to reg TV. Ya'll lost alot of fans going to DTV.

DIRECTV is a total rip off! first they cancel passions after getting many people to sign up for it. then they reduce the episodes from 4 a week to 3 a week. now the latest trick: they take away the channel 101 from everyone that has the standard $29.95 a month pkg! they did thisa with no warning! now to get the channel that shows passions, you have to upgrade and pay $45.00 a month. i will be getting rid of DIRECTV the minute my 1 year contract with them expires! i suggest anyone with the same gripe file a complaint with the federal trade commission at www.ftc.gov

Just read this and thought you might want to read it: DirecTV has lost its passion for "Passions" -- but the NBC U-produced sudser isn't quite dead yet. Satcaster has told NBC it won't be ordering a second season of the soap, which moved to DirecTV in September as part of a $40 million deal designed to bring more original programming to the service (Daily Variety, Apr. 25). NBC canceled the show earlier this year. In order to keep "Passions" on DirecTV through August, satcaster has ordered 52 additional episodes of the show from the Peacock's Universal Media Studios. However, starting in early to mid-January, skein will begin airing just three times a week (compared with four weekly airings now). "Passions" will go on an extended holiday hiatus next week, then return in February for another month of filming. Show will wrap production in March, and as of now, there are no firm plans for it to continue. However, with UMS having reduced the budget on the show significantly, there's talk that "Passions" might yet find another life elsewhere. Newly acquired cabler Oxygen might make a good fit. Peacock also could turn the skein into an Internet-based sudser. DirecTV and UMS declined comment.

I am so upset. First, they take Passions off of NBC and try to get everyone to switch to Directv. Now, they want to take it off completely. Directv was only promoting Passions so that they could get more subscibers. I'm glad that I didn't and couldn't switch. I have Passions now only because I subscibe to the on-line version. That's another thing they are charging too much money for this service. If it was on 5 days a week maybe okay but it is only 4 days and they still plan on cutting it back to 3 days. It is unfair also to the cast. They were promised work for 2 years and now what happens to them. I don't see anyone trying to get rid of Days of Our Lives or General Hospital, in fact any other soap. Why pick on Passions? The cast is great and they shouldn't pay for other idiots mistakes or greediness. Just like us fans. We are loyal fans who are watching them everyday. Let's all sign the pettition and try to keep our Passions on..... Evelyn
