I'm here out of curiousity more than anything else. I don't want thousands of "friends." A few nice people to chat with on occasion would be cool. If I can add something to a few peoples' lives by being here, then this is not a total waste of time. I do read people's comments and I am far more interested in people who think that love and friendship are important than people who talk about all the things they hate. I truly believe that nothing is more important than the friends you keep. Beyond that, I'm pretty simple. Always interested in learning new things.

So, you're probably wondering about the profile pic. If you recognize it, then you already know a lot about me. If you don't I'd just say that in many ways, that's who I'd like to be, and if you've never seen Fullmetal Alchemist, you're really missing something. That's Ed, and he embodies most of the attributes that I admire - honest, creative, caring, passionate, sometimes opinionated to a fault but only about things in which he truly believes. He's fiercely loyal to his friends. Charges right in when he sees something wrong, usually putting himself in terrific danger. Yes, he often acts before he thinks, but about the really important things, I think that's OK. Beyond that, he has a sense of cool that I can only wish I knew how to achieve.
