I became an amputee on 6-20-03. I hit an 18 wheeler head on 4-2-01. My car motor sat on my leg for 1 hour and 45 min.before they could get me out. It did a lot to my body that i will not go into,it would just take to long. By the grace of the Lord i am still here! There is still something he wants me to do before he calls me home. The Dr. tried to save my left leg for over 2 years. After 9 surgerys on that one leg and 2 on each hip, it was time to stop. No.#10 was the last one on my leg,until 12-6-05 had to have my leg cut off again. Had my thyroid removed on Jan 2nd 2002. Thought it might be cancer, but praise the Lord it was not!If i could have my leg back without the pain i would, but it is not coming back and i must get on with my life. all of this has made me very strong.I have come a long way, but still have a long way to go. With the help of the lord i will make it! I will not give up until he calls me home! I also have had diabetes for 13 years. I wear an Insulin Pump.I have so much phantom pain. I can still feel the car moter sitting on my leg at times.I don't sleep well at night.I am so thankful to be a live!!!
