"I believe that the key to a great show is definitely mixture. A solid technical DJ can flawlessly mix two tracks together, but can they create the vibe and atmosphere that is necessary to make an event successful? Not always..."
J-Pitch can.
Today J-Pitch has a new focus, a new goal and a new energy. Finally finding his groove, he is energizing dance floors across the country with his mixture of not just House music, but variations of House that create an undeniable vibe and feel. Whether he is playing in a punk bar to a bunch of rockers, or a superclub with beat fiends wanting more, he has been taking comatose dance floors and giving them life again.
Growing up in a small farm town in Wisconsin, his exposure to music other than the typical rock was unheard of. When he heard his first underground mix CD in 1995, J-Pitch began to explore this new sound he had never heard before. Purchasing his first pair of decks in 2000, he had started into an adventure he surely wouldnt regret. He had gone from buying mix CDs every week to buying the records and making his own. By 2003, he had played nearly every local venue and started making waves in regional venues as well. Recently holding residencies at Club 56 and Fusion, he is also the host of a weekly House show on AfterhoursDJs.org Internet Radio.
J-Pitch has been fortunate enough to play events alongside such DJs as: Richard Humpty Vission, Paul Oakenfold, Skylab 2000, Sharam from Deep Dish, Fergie, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ Funk, DJ Irene, Freakyflow & MC Flipside, The X-ecutioners, Dylan & Tech Itch, Nigel Richard, Paul Anthony, Mark Almaria and Soul System to name a few. He has also played at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival(DEMF): Movement 2004.
Currently living in the Fox Valley, J-Pitch is continuing to do what he does best, creating a great vibe. Having networked with the right people has also allowed him to obtain some of the greatest pre-release, unreleased and never-to-be-released tracks of the genre.
Looking forward, J-Pitch hopes to continue his success and continue to climb the ladder in this dog-eat-dog industry. He has been doing some production work and is planning to have some releases this upcoming year.
