She began writing poetry, short stories and songs at a very early age. The first song she ever wrote called “It’s got to be you” later became the first track she recorded. From that point on she realized she wanted to pursue a career in music as a songwriter/vocalist. She moved to Northampton in the eighties and began developing her writing and vocal skills. While practicing one day to “Anita Baker’s Sweet Love” in her living room; a passer by knocked on her window, He turned out to be a promoter and close friend of the owner of a reggae label called Pioneer Music. He introduced her to many producers and artist on the scene at the time.
