Something You Should Know About Me
My name is Rhino, I have just released my new CD on RLDE Records called, Rhino's Last Dance that is available on Amazon, Rapsody, and ITunes and for Hard copys of the Cd go to www.Kunaki.com/sales.asp?Pid=Px00D35LWT . So try it like others that love it, I have played Guitarist, songwriter and producer Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt started in the Georgia based bands "The Load" (1967-69) and "The Second Coming" (1969-70), with Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley, who went on to help form The Allman Brothers Band, while Rhino himself joined Iron Butterfly in early 1970, recording the highly acclaimed "Metamorphosis" album. After Iron Butterfly split in 1971, Rhino wasted no time and immediately formed Captain Beyond, together with Lee Dorman from Iron Butterfly, Rod Evans from Deep Purple and Bobby Caldwell from Johnny Winter. Captain Beyond was indeed the first supergroup, given that pedigree and skills of the individual members. Their first selftitled album left the world sufficiently breathless and continues to sell to this day, remaining unmatched in quality, being an influence of a whole new generation of bands. Rhino‘s unique guitar playing and songwriting skills can be heared on all three Captain Beyond albums: the first, selftitled album "Captain Beyond" (1972) and their secord album "Sufficiently Breathless" (1973) were released on Capricorn, while their third album "Dawn Explosion", with lead vocalist Willy Daffern, who would later participate in Gary Moore’s G-Force, was released on Warner Bros. in 1977. Rhino made some selected guest appearances through the years: he guested on two songs (Don‘t Let Me Down / I Don‘t Want To Get Hurt By Your Love Again) of Bobby Womack‘s "Looking For A Love" album, which was released in 1974 and plays on the whole Robert Tepper album "No Rest For The Wounded Heart", which was finally released in 1996, having been recorded in 1991 as Iron Butterfly. After Captain Beyond split in 1977, Rhino had his own band named "Rhino" in 1979 that included former Tucky Buzzard and 1978 Iron Butterfly singer Jimi Henderson and toured the US in support of Stephen Stills. Rhino then teamed up with Gary Graber in the band Mad Dancer in 1981. He was in several reformed versions of Iron Butterfly with Lee Dorman (1978, 80, 84, 89 and 92), that also included Doug Ingle (1978, 84), Ron Bushy (1978, 92) and Erik Keith Brann (1989). For a while he quit music biz, until in 1998 he started to reform Captain Beyond with drummer Bobby Caldwell, singer Jimi Interval & bassist Jeff Artabasy, also involving former Firefall keyboarder Dave Muse and guitarist Steve Petrey. After a fantastic debut at Swedenrock Festival in 1999 sharing the stage with Deep Purple, Dio and Budgie, Captain Beyond recorded an EP, that contains the potential hit "Don’t Cry Over Me", sung by Jimi Interval. Due to management issues, Captain Beyond was discontinued in 2002, to the dismay of Captain Beyond and Iron Butterfly fans worldwide. Rhino wasted no time and joined Blue Swamp in 2003, together with bassist Richard Hombre Price, who also was in The Load and The Second Coming, as well as playing selected shows locally with Rhino & Doss. In August 2008 Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt started recording his first solo album in Florida, called "Rhino‘s Last Dance". His support band on this effort includes: Gary Guzzardo (Marshall Tucker) - Drums & Percussion Dave Muse (Firefall, Marshall Tucker) - Saxophones & Flute Jeff Artabasy (Captain Beyond) - Bass Steve Petrey (Captain Beyond) - Acoustic & Electric Guitars Don Bonzi (XL7, Mad Dancers, The Feel) - Acoustic & Electric Guitars, BG Vocals Scott Gould (L.A. and FL Session player) - Keyboards & BG Vocals Robin West (James Brown Band) - Vocals His signature songwriting, vocal styling & unique six string rhinoisms can be heard throughout the entire album "Rhino‘s Last Dance".   with Iron Butterfly, Captain Beyond and many others. Rhino Reinhardt</style>
