I stumble along the road of broken spirits.
I tread upon the mangled bodies, of those who have fallen.
Fallen as they tried to escape the misery of their existence.
The silence is deafening, where are the voices of hope and reason?
I teeter on the brink of non-existence, is all here lost?
All around me, hate, anger, power, and greed hover.
Their teeth, like sharp knives, slowly cut apart my mind.
My brain is spinning, my head echoes with pain.
Once we hoped, our lives were filled with dreams.
We had a chance to make it work, to rid the world of those who rule.
Slowly enslavement crept throughout our land.
Corrupting the minds, of every child, woman, and man.
Don’t fret, worry about your own piece of the world we are told.
The jailers spin the tale, to keep our minds locked up and stale.
Creative thinking is against the law, like robots we must march along.
Is this a dream, or will this nightmare come true.
