No, never post or give out your personal information to anyone over the Internet. Remember to exercise caution and common sense when someone asks for your personal information, such as your: first name, last name, home address, phone number, email address, instant messenger ID, and links to other social network profiles. Instead, use the following features in order to communicate with other Stickam members:
Go Live
Create a Chat Room
Use One to One
If you would like to view a tutorial on how to use these features, click on the following link: http://www.stickam.com/help/newToStickam.do
Never accept programs such as: auto friend adder, auto commenter,
etc. from other members. Use common sense, and keep in mind
that the "friend adder" you are downloading could
be a key logger.
Our service offers features you can use as an alternative to "auto
programs." Below are just a few suggestions you should
consider:
Auto accept friend requests
Invite friends to use Stickam
Send a friend invite to members you think are interesting

Don’t panic! Keep cool and report the member to Stickam’s Abuse Team. The threat is likely not legitimate. However, to be safe, after you submit a report to us, we recommend that you update your antivirus software and scan your computer for any Trojans, viruses, and key loggers in Safe Mode.
In order to scan your computer in Safe Mode, follow these steps:
Run Computer in Safe Mode for Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/7/Vista
Reboot your computer.
Before Windows loads, press F8 until you see a menu.
You should see the "Windows Advanced Option Menu."
Select Safe Mode or select Safe Mode with Networking.
Next, select the operating system to start Windows and press
Enter on your keyboard (NOTE: it will take awhile for your
system to load in Safe Mode).
Once you are running in Safe Mode, scan your computer using
your antivirus program.
Reboot your computer when you are done scanning for viruses
in order for your computer to run normally.
If you are experiencing trouble running your computer in Safe
Mode, conduct a search engine query for keywords, "How
to Run My Computer in Safe Mode" or click on the following
link: http://www.ehow.com/how_5124090_run-antivirus-software-safe-mode.html

First Name:
Last Name:
Zip Code:
Birth date:

Last time you were able to access your account:
Please note that Stickam will not reset your account login information if you cannot supply all of the information requested above.
Change your password immediately and the password for the email address associated with your Stickam account. However, make sure not to select an easy to guess password such as your name or last name or the name of your pet.
If you would like to view an easy tutorial on how to change your password, click on the following link: http://www.stickam.com/forgotPassword.do.
In addition, remember to report the user who claims to have your password to Stickam’s Abuse Team.
Stop all communication with the offending user and Ban them from contacting you any further. Save any chat logs, inbox messages, or screen shots, that evidence the threats/harassment and report the threats/harassment to your local Law Enforcement Agency.
After you report the matter to your local law enforcement agency, submit a report to the Stickam Abuse Team. DO NOT contact Stickam’s Abuse Team as your main source for handling this serious matter. Stickam’s Abuse Team can only enforce Stickam’s Terms of Service by terminating the offending user’s account, and therefore should be your secondary course of action.
What you should include in your report to Stickam’s Abuse Team.
- Offending user account username (profile URL).
- A brief history of your interactions with the offending user.
- Name and number of the Law Enforcement agency you reported the matter to.
- Any evidence you have of the threats/harassment.

Whether you are a Stickam member or not, it is important to report the fake profile to Stickam’s Abuse Team. Simply select the drop down option "Report Fake Profile" in Stickam’s Abuse Form. Instructions on how to authenticate your identity will be emailed to you (be sure to check your spam folder for any messages from Stickam’s Abuse Team). Please note: you can only dispute the identity of a member who is impersonating you. You CANNOT report a fake profile for a friend. Instead, inform your friend of the existence of the fake profile and encourage them to report it to Stickam’s Abuse Team.
Do not reply to the comment. Instead, you should delete the comment and add the member to your Ban List.
You can delete a comment by following the steps below.
- On the comment section of your profile, you will see “View All” located on the right. Click on that.
- From the View All Comments page, you will see under a comment the option to delete it.
If you are experiencing any technical issues please contact Stickam’s Support Team.
Send a friendly request to the user account where the comment is posted, and ask the user to remove it. Do not contact the offending user or post a retaliatory comment. If the person does not remove the comment, please send an email to Stickam’s Abuse Team. Please include the following information to your report:
- Link to the profile where the comment has been posted.
- Link to the profile URL of the Abuser.
- A summary of the comment posted.
Do not acknowledge the offending user. Sometimes people like this just want to get a reaction from you. Instead, Flag the offending user and Ban them from contacting you further by adding them to your Ban List.
Be sure to change your Host Chat’s privacy settings by following the tutorial listed on the following link : http://www.stickam.com/privacySetting.do
If you feel that your personal safety is threatened, you will need to contact your local Law Enforcement.
It is important that you Flag the user account and report the incident to Stickam’s Abuse Team. In order to make an accurate report, it is important that you follow the steps listed:
- Flag the user account. Be as detailed as possible and intelligible when you submit a comment. Comments can be entered by selecting the drop down option "Other."
- Take screen shots of the "hack" and upload them to an image storage site such as Photobucket, Flickr, or Tinypic. Keep in mind that the screen shots you take, are saved in your hard drive.
- Make a note of the time and date when the incident occurred. Be sure to include your time zone.
- Finally, file a report to Stickam’s Abuse Team, and include offending user’s account (profile URL), a link to the screen shots you uploaded to a photo share site, details on how the "hack" works, and the Chat Room in which the incident occurred.
Generally, Room Moderators are assistants to the Room Host. However, sometimes a Room Moderator may abuse his/her privileges. If that is the case, it is important to express your concern to the Host by sending him/her a private message, or a message to their inbox. The Room Host will decide whether or not to un-designate the offending user as Room Moderator.
Stickam’s Abuse Team cannot designate or un-designate a Room Moderator. It is solely up to the Host whether he/she chooses to do so.
If you feel un-welcomed in a Chat Room, remember that there are many diverse communities on Stickam, and you should consider entering another Chat Room or simply create a Chat Room of your own.
