I've grown desperate for intelligent people. Please, please God, suprise me.
The following statement is my personal account on Stickam throughout time. If you want to know more, contact me and tell me that you're interested.
I've made social observations with as little bias as possible. I used Stickam to conduct these observations, and I may have hurt a few people. I am sorry for that but, a virtual setting is a much better measure of truth. No one is afraid on the internet. The facade is let go, and true personalities are shown. Things that people did not have strength to say in person say without any remorse on the internet. And since Stickam is a collective group of many lustful teenagers who are all strangers to one another, it was ideal. Another reason Stickam was ideal, is the fact that you could talk in private and in a group simultaneously. It shows how ones private interactions, thoughts, and feelings could change about one person over time vs. society (the group). Generally the same group stays as a control while the "one-on-one" basis is dynamic. This sets a constant vs. a variable, although the constant can sometimes change slightly. This makes observations MUCH easier to compare throughout time, instead of trying to assume how a control would act vs. the variable. The last, and probably most important reason why Stickam was perfect for observational value is the webcam effect, or the "face-to-face" value. This could be the most important, combined with the first reason. The social front everyone displays in real life has vanished, yet it is the closest to a real person you can be. Everyone can see facial expressions, gestures, and moods. A person's looks change everything, and allows more trust and even more of a connection to be made. When a connection can be made (face-to-face value) while nothing is preventing them from speaking what they feel (vanished facade) true observations can be made. Everyone on stickam takes in these observations but is oblivious that they are doing so. This is why Stickam became so popular so fast. Everyone could speak their mind, and have whatever relationship they chose with whoever they chose without fear of persecution. Whether one uses them for love, lust (most of Stickam's users prefer lust), or friendship is up to the individual. I used them for something else; a view into the human soul.
