hello, im scott deangelis. Im pianist at heart , and multi-instrumentalist and Dj. I taught myself music production in my studio apts in Philadelphia. I recorded all my tracks and open doors for my mind using technology. I love to play just my piano alot and just get lost in my wave travels. I pick up waves and go with it. I started singing while recording tracks with reason. I have visions for shows and recordings. Moving to NYC in Late 2009 is opening new Boxes =) I don't know where this life will take me, but I'm ready to go with it. I am blessed and happy to keep creating and recording. -The Life Of An Artist-
The artist isn't just someone who paints, draws or plays music. The artist need only be a thinker, someone who questions all things around him and wonders at the universe. He likes to ask why, he likes to ask how. He sees the beauty in all things, large and small. The artist values freedom above all else. Freedom of thought, freedom of movement, freedom of expression, and freedom to present new ideas without ridicule. As a result, the artist tends to be a loner, though on the surface he is well connected through circles of friends. The artist is an emotional empath. He absorbs the feelings and moods of those around him. This is a primary source for his inspiration, and a power that holds sway in his mind. Without emotion and without strife, there is no serious and substantive art. The artist is guided by lust, anger, sorrow, laughter and joy - some by only one, some by all of them. The thinking artist is continually searching for broader perspective. He is looking for the reason behind things, and the reason for being. A part of his life can be described as a search for new perspectives and new vistas of perception and thought. He recognizes that conflict, anger and fear are all caused by lack of perspective. The artist's life is full of elation and disappointment, in alternating cycles. Depression brought on by artistic failure is common, but short-lived. The elation of a new challenge or the beauty of tomorrow's sunrise can soon replace today's sorrows. The believer never gives up, and eventually enjoys the fruits of hard won success. The true artist knows that the ultimate creative state is the absence of fear. Fear of what others might think, fear of success, fear of failure, fear of himself in his own mind. Innovation is an uphill battle with narrow-mindedness and complacency. The working artist must decide on how much to sell out for success. Capitalizing on the success of a single style or a single project can bring about unintended stagnation. The artist must take chances, even though he knows that the odds of a future endeavor being just as commercially successful or appealing to the masses is slim. The life-long artist ultimately creates for himself, but is highly pleased when others find his work appealing. It means that he shares a common connection to the people who find his work equally as interesting, which makes him that much less of a loner. The artist is all of these things and none of these things. He is constantly at battle with himself and society to bring forth new visions and new thoughts.
