[This section is written for those strangers who have taken it upon themselves to initiate an unfriendly private message chat with me.]

I've directed you here because it seems to me that you don't come in peace.

More than likely you either have a problem with my age or my homosexuality, or both, even though we're total strangers.

If you make unevidenced assumptions about a person you don't know because of their homosexuality, you're displaying homophobia. If you make unevidenced assumptions about a person you don't know because of their age, you're displaying ageism.

Ageism and homophobia are, of course, both descendents of the same beast - prejudice.

Either way, I have some bad news for you: you may well be a bit of bigot. Most probably you also lack your own moral compass; your morality probably just mirrors that of your peers or community.

But don't despair - with some conscious effort anyone can tear down bigotry, open up their mind, rise up above the swill. How one does it is up to the individual. One could perhaps start by reading To Kill a Mockingbird or any of the other greats from the literary canon.

Having said all this, it's quite possible I've misinterpreted your intent, and I apologize if I have.

If you've come in peace, I'm more than happy to talk to you, no matter who or what you are. Most of the time I enjoy talking to anyone about anything, as long as you're civil.

If you haven't come in peace, I'd rather not be dealing with a bigoted stranger, so I ask that you please leave me be, and return to wherever you came from.
