Originally from Chicago and always been into dance music since my acknowledgment of music in my very early stages of childhood. Growing up with parents who loved to party, I pretty much grew up a "Disco Kid". Living in the North Side of Chicago, it also became a racial thing. It was mostly Blacks and Hispanics who listened to dance music during those days and no matter what it was, white boys considered it Disco. Even amongst my white classmates who I was cool with in grammar school came out with the racial slurs and "disco sucks". It didn't bother me much cause we called them honkies all the time and everything was cool. Disco must of been very powerful cause they had rallies in chicago with people screaming "disco sucks" and blowing up records??? I always say, when someone talks about you no matter what is being said, it's a form of worship. If you don't like something, you leave it alone, right?? Anyway, teenage life was cool cause I found my way to all the live parties. My home of course was The Box. It pretty much changed my life! As i got older i found my self in the Atl. Its much warmer here! As far as the house scene here, I wasn't satisfied, especially since I felt Chicago didn't get much respect in the house scene, and we created it! I then met other chicagoans and decided to form a crew of Djs. It didn't work out at first until I met a couple of Djs that would help me do this Chicago Thang. I started The B Side which is basically my loft space where i do late night disco parties. After several months of Bi-Weekly Parties, we got our newest member, a CRAZY female who loved to dance and loved the music and wanted to learn to spin. It was hectic at first trying to get her to hear the beat but she started coming along. She's a lot better now! Currently i have two great Djs by my side, Dj Ernest "soulfood" and probably one of the hottest female Djs now, Dj Zsa Zsa. We make up the crew,TSOC, along with other family members, Dj BoogieNite, Dj steve Mathis, Dj Reg. All Chicago!!!!
