Hi, My name is Jason, and I live in beautiful Palos Verdes. It took a year for me to complete my dream and build a recording studio and I have been blessed with the talent that attends. About two years ago Steve "shag" Aguilar and I were sitting in the hot tub with the panoramic view and chatting about musical ideas. We both wanted to start a jam band. Before I really knew it, it had happened. I received a sponsorship from Gibson guitars for playing with a group of disabled musicians - No Boundaries - http://myspace.com/exmusic8 They gave me my dream guitar, an ES 335. My neighbor let me borrow his tube amp. I must have tried 20 other amps and none of them compared to this one, built by PV local Mike Moody. I sell real estate locally and ran into Mike at an open house and invited him to come over for a jam. He is one of the founders of SundaySkool, built a custom "Magic" amp for me and hasn't missed a beat in two years. Mike, Shag and I are the core of SundaySkool which has grown into a improvisational jam hosting some incredible musicians. Here is a list of our recent attendies : Pete Horelbeck from Rare Earth, writer of Celebrate and Get Ready - Here I come Darren Pujalet from Particle, he is a standard now and we are soo lucky. Darren's network has introduced us to Robby Krieger of the doors and Karl Dension. Johnny Lonely from Orson, they played for the Queen of Britian! Charlie Hitchcock from Particle. Lige Curry from the P-Funk Parliament. Lou Castro who has worked with Arthur Adams, Mandrill, and Vivian Campbell. At the end of March we hosted Ty Taylor with an fantunaistic performance - We also have a huge group of fantastic local musicians who can keep up with the pro's. We are working hard at the Sea Palace Studio to get a new website complete with downloads from 2008 and a system of updates and fresh content to creat our own tv show from the studio. We are excited about the develpopments and look forward to sharing them with you as SundaySkool is now a weekly streamed event here on Stickam. Sunday nites after 7 pm PST.
