Monecious, with pollen and seed cones on the same plant. My genetic makeup is unusual among conifers, being a hexaploid (6n) and likely autoallopolyploid (AAAABB). My mitochondrial genome is (unlike other conifers) paternally inherited. Gee it is great to be unique. Plants communicate better in relationships than humans do!!!
