The Heartbreak Therapy (formerly known as Minutes Away) is the project of 20 year old vocalist/guitarist Arielle "Rel" Myers. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, she picked up guitar at the age of 15. After moving to Texas in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the self-taught guitarist decided to quit sports and focus on making music. In Fall of 2006, The Heartbreak Therapy was created. New songs are being written RIGHT NOW!
Some of you may wonder to yourselves where the name The Heartbreak Therapy comes from. At some point in our lives, we all need some sort of therapy to deal with what we've been through. It doesn't necessarily have to be REAL therapy where you have to go see a stranger and tell them your life story. It could be anything you use to get away from everything. It could be drawing, reading, running, listening to music, etc. The Heartbreak Therapy's goal is to make music that you can relate to. Music that you can use as your personal therapy in life. If your heart is broken for whatever reason, The Heartbreak Therapy is here to help and give you what you love most: music.
