 'The TwsCRadio Story' The Start Of It All: TwsCRadio started out as a bit of fun back in May 2003, originally called SBS5Radio which was a Gaming Clan Radio, The clan then folded (Closed Down) and two of the DJ's decided to keep the radio going, it was then renamed to TwizteD DJ's, TwizteD DJ's ran from a very very poor low quality server, and a free domain name for about 3 months, we got a nice small fan base behind us and decided to take it further, we then purchased a new Streaming Server with a better quality broadcast. After roughly another 3 months we closed down for a couple of months and took a nice break. The Birth: But then. *The Big Idea* came into one of the DJs heads to make a real radio station out of what we had fun with, we missed all the laughs and jokes and wanted the love of music to return once again. And TwsCRadio.com was born, we purchased a server once again, got ourselves a nice fast and reliable streaming server, and a high speed web server. The Sponsorship: After a few months we got approached by a Game Server Host who's name will be kept undisclosed and we got offered a sponsorship with a free 1000 Listener High Quality server. Obviously we thought there has to be a catch to this..But nope the only thing we had to do is play a 15 second sound clip every hour or so and we could keep the sponsorship for as long as we liked. So we went with it and well, everything was good, Until... The Up's and Down's: ...The sponsorship pulled out for no reason known to this day, we all thought 'this is the end of TwsCRadio' and it wa s.. well, it was for 3 months anyway, but as usual, the DJs missed it too much and ended up splashing out money again on another server, and off we went again playing and remixing all the lovely sounds of the trance and dance scene for you all, but again it all went wrong, the host decided we used too much bandwidth and tried to charge us a sum which we still keep quiet to this day, so we had to pull out of the hosting and close down once again. The Present: TwsCRadio.com is obviously back again as you can tell, and we have been running solid for nearly a year now and have no intentions of closing, the hosting is brilliant, no conflicts, always helpful, so the future looks bright for us, the listeners keep flowing in and we still have our supporting regulars which we would like to thank for all the support through the hard times. The Name: Alot of people ask this, 'What does TwsCRadio stand for' well the answer is simple, Nothing! The name basically came from two areas, TwizteD DJs and a mobile DJ service one of the DJs used to have called 'Sound Control©' we took the two names and combined them to make TwsCRadio.com |
