Unholy Matrimony is a comedy radio show starring Rory and Lauren Karpf, husband and wife for six years. Together they discuss marriage and relationships with 100% honesty, bantering about their sex life, many fights and arguments, as well as how much they really hate each other. The show also features weekly guests including therapists, authors, comedians, actors, athletes and models. Basically anyone that Rory and Lauren like and who have something to say about relationships. Rory and Lauren first met when they were 8 years old in Hebrew School. He was chewing on a pen and the blue ink burst all inside his mouth. Lauren said to herself, “I think I’m in love.” They randomly got together through the years until getting into a serious relationship with each other right after college. And yes, they did “it” on the first date. From 2001-2003 they hosted “The Fitness Fiend” radio show broadcasted on WNJC 1360 in New Jersey. The show was very successful, leading to regular appearances on local television. But after awhile Lauren got tired of Rory telling her she was too fat so she resigned. After a brief hiatus, they both started appearing on the Lunatic Radio show, and their call-ins were some of the most well received in show history. The fans demanded it and now Rory and Lauren will have there very own show under the Lunatic Radio banner, “Unholy Matrimony”. They currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rory is a stand-up comedian who has written material for Adam Sandler and has opened for Dane Cook. He accomplished these feats much earlier in his career, as now Rory has been relegated to performing throughout the Southeast at swarmy bars and clubs. By day Rory works in sports. Lauren is a former elementary school teacher, who quit her job to become a stay at home mom to 2-year old son Cooper. She has also worked as a fitness trainer, with her greatest feat being able to maintain a size ‘2 while having a 34DD bra size. Growing up, Lauren never received enough love from her father, leading to her relationship with Rory. Compared to Rory, Lauren is much less obnoxious and far more likable. She’s also much better looking.
