This time lapse recording of the shaving of my beard celebrates the 3rd month since I was stranded up on Haleakala Crater. This story has been written. A web site created with images and sounds of my rescuers. I wanted to see what I looked like after not having a beard for so long. I looked three different ways for each stroke of the razor, so the video is compiled with each of the three views being in the first "pane" of reflection. The idea of shaving hair is that of letting go. liberating one's spirit by the symbolic cutting of ties to the past, as reflected in the time needed to grow a beard. I lose about 10 years every time I shave!
