Since the God I presented "the creator of the universe" is not directly questionable through the current natural means of our existence, it is presently unfalsifiable. And because of this, contemplating a God of this sort would require a different use of reason, logic, and standard of evidence then the scientific processes our world currently is adhering to. It is because of this reason that a direct understanding of this God is unclear and the consequences of this are the various theologies which each claim a sort of independence, an absolute truth, above and beyond all others. You have to take man into consideration here and his errors he commits in hindsight. |

"which God do you believe in?" would essentially be the same as asking a question like "who created the universe?". The first presumes that there are separate Gods and the latter question presupposes a designer. Many a times do I ask an atheist "who created the universe?" and hear a response similar to "what makes you think that the universe was created?". In all fairness here Rev. Dawg, the two questions are contextually identical. The question "which God do you believe in?" eliminates a peripheral perspective to other possibilities. This is how I usually argue that all Gods are one of the same. But before I do, let me first note that I accept the rational faculties of logic, certain principles that make logic what it is- law of non-contradiction, law of excluded middle, law of identity. And according to these principles, yes, it's correct that God can only exist in one form (can't be intervening and non-intervening at the same time). |

hey your chatroom was interesting last night. thanks for sending me the material on evolution. my computer froze so I eventually logged off and never got back in the chatroom. i think the chatroom is very interesting and i would like to return, however, i did not really like that "dude" Debate Faith. i wasn't in there to debate. i just wanted to listen. he was insulting me but it didn't get me angry. it was just annoying. apparently that "dude" Debate Faith has some issues. after reading his profile i realized i was talking with an ignorant butt-hurt republican bigot. besides him-great chat room. everyone else in your chat room was very nice and respectful. |

Hope you are doing as well as is possible. I'll likely not be back on much. Participating here takes a bit out of time that I need to use for some other projects. I hope in the details that I didn't ever offend you. You remind me of some good friends in a lot of ways and I think if we were to hang out in person that we'd get along pretty good for the most part. Best of everything to you in all your endeavors. If you by any chance find yourself head to, or in, Utah at any point try and contact me, you're one I wouldn't mind meeting up with at some point (presuming of course that you'd want to meet with me, if not I think I could understand that also). And tell DF that I would be willing to PM him the answer to his question that I said I was going to answer if he answered mine. I'd mention it to him myself but I have to be honest in saying that seeing his inability to admit he was wrong on a minor point of genetics I have a very hard time taking his claims to seeking truth very seriously. You're fat, useless, and probably live at home. Moding is the only thing you have in life. You know it to be true. You're in the room constantly because it's the only interaction you have with people, besides your parents. You lack a good job and you should have stayed in college. You didn't though and now you just smoke pot. Sure smoking pot is fine, but that's all you have. Just weed and the chat room. Others don't want you to be a mod, it's probably because you are a dick in real life. Although you try and hide it in the room, it bleeds over. I go to college on a scholarship, have a wonderful girlfriend who is a college grad with a great job, and I enjoy the company of my fellow man instead of hating. You're life is worse the hell. |
