There's a place an athlete goes to lose himself, if he's talented enough to find the way. It's a dark zone trapped deep inside an athlete's own mind. A place where he is endowed with the presence to do greatness, and to be greatness, and to shine. Only a few lucky people will ever see it, and the rest...it's probably best they never find their way. After all, an athlete's greatest opponent...is his own mind. I play volleyball. It's more than just a sport, it's a lifestyle.  |
