Here to see what's up with everyone. Am in the middle of trying to comeback bigger, stronger & faster from a knee operation I had in Sept. My goal is to be down in Tampa, Fla in Feb when pitchers / catchers report. ******(UPDATE Feb 19th 2009)******Am BACK in NY from Tampa, and it appears I won't be the next rookie in the bigs.. Went down there and kicked butt, but seems my next big stage will be in Vegas next month!!*****(UPDATE Mar 11th 2009)***** Pitched in the Kickoff Classic in Vegas. Dominated! Line read 4 innings, 3 hits and 8 K's. Season starts in less than 6 weeks, time to work EVEN HARDER! *****(update May 3rd 2009)*****In a rain shortened 5 inning game I went the distance giving up 2ER, scattering 7 singles while striking out 3 for my 1st regular season win of '09. We beat the Mohegan Braves 9-4 and are 2-0. I'm 1-0. *****(Update May 17th 2009)***** Pitching into the 6th inning I won my 2nd game of the year and we took both games of the doubleheader from the Pats. I am now 2-0 on the year, we improved as a team to 4-0 and took sole possession of 1st place.****(UPDATE Jul 12 2009)****On 4 pitches, I walk the leadoff batter. That would turn out to be the only baserunner until the 4th inning. A ground ball hit deep enough to short that he beat it out for an infield single. Turns out that that would be their ONLY hit today. I walked 1 in the 5th and 6th but that was it. 6 innings of 1 hit shutout ball. By FAR, my best outing of the season as we went on to beat the Padres 4-0. We also took the first one improving our record this season to 7-3. ***UPDATE***June 6, 2010*** In a different uniform the results stay the same :) In my first start of the 2010 season (and first as a Cardinal) I go 5 innings, allowing just a 3rd and 4th inning single and we go on to CRUSH the Padres 15-3. You could definitely see the rust as I walked 5, while striking out just 3. Final line read IP:5 H:2 R:1 BB:5 K:3 . I am 1-0! Moving right along with another update!! ****JULY 11 2010****With the local reporters watching along I throw my best game of the year, improving to 2-0. In a Complete Game 3 hitter, I strike out 7 while walking just 2 and win 9-1. If you want to read the article published online ask me for the link. ****It's Monday Nov 22nd and I woke up this morning a CHAMPION!! Finishing what was an amazing run this fall we win big in the Championship game 9-4, exploding for 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th. Yours truly hits safely for what becomes a 10 game hitting streak, and pitches a 1-2-3 9th inning for the close. I end the fall season 2-0 with 4 saves, a WHIP under 1.00 and an ERA under 0.40 **** Other than that.....I'm from NY, my name is Mike, and I'm just here in either killing time or hanging with a few new friends.
