Hello, my name is Rob, but most of my friends call me Zepman...born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, lived in NY state and SoCal, now in Wisconsin. I was lucky enough to have grown up during the late '60's and '70's, during the golden era of rock music, and saw Led Zeppelin twice...Page at the '83 ARMS benefit in L.A...and actually MET Jimmy Page at his former residence in Windsor, England, in 1999 (see my blog, "How I Met Jimmy Page", for the whole, incredibly true story). I've been reinvigorated since, almost 3 years ago now, I decided to take my 30 year-old hobby of playing guitar (I've never been in a band, and am entirely self-taught) to the next level, and started playing out at local open mics...that was also the start of me singing while playing, since as a solo performer, I had to! I mostly play an acoustic-electric 12-string, performing mainly at acoustic open mics around the Fox Cities area. I love doing classic rock songs, specializing in Led Zeppelin (hence my nickname)...I now host my own acoustic open mic that I call Zepman & Friends, at various local watering holes. Other rock musicians and celebrities that I was lucky enough to have met: Joe Perry - Aerosmith, Kansas (entire band), Yes (the whole band), Stu Hamm, Steve Morse, Ken Hensley - Uriah Heep, Clint Eastwood, Robin Williams, Buddy Ebsen, Merv Griffen) I'm on MySpace as Zepman2004 (www.myspace.com/zepman2004), and YouTube as ZepmanRocks (www.youtube.com/user/ZepmanRocks)...click on "See All Videos" I have many varied interests besides music, including astronomy, planetary sciences, tennis, electronics (I'm a computer SAN engineer), computers and the internet, photography, and more...
