To start my name is Mike. I just moved into San Luis Obispo. I have lived off and on in the North County "Cambria" area for 6 years or so. At the time that was were my family was living. I first moved here just after I finished Film and Animation school in Vancouver, BC Canada. It was a hard decision to move out of Canada, yet the opportunities seemed better here. Vancouver was by far the most amazing city I have ever lived in. Super clean, with a very diverse culture and the architecture in my opinion had the best of San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Lake Tahoe all together. All places which I have had the chance to live in by the way. In Santa Cruz where I lived for 5 years, I had the opportunity to live an active lifestyle all the while taking classes at both UCSC and Cabrillo the community college there. I studied environmental studies, psychology, computer sciences, and graphic arts. And yes, by living there I got my share of the hippie/green lifestyle. Before I moved to Santa Cruz, I lived in Lake Tahoe for about 11 years. Basically did most of my growing up there, for me that came the hard way. I have to admit I was kind of a hellion at an early age. I was 15 when I moved there and way into snowboarding, and skateboarding. I grew up going to high school and working at the ski resorts there every winter. That got me free access to all the ski resorts there, and I loved snowboarding. After I tried it once I never went back to skiing and eventually got pretty damn good at snowboarding, after all I spent about 270 days a year on the slopes. I have done my fair share of partying in my time, I won’t lie. I have however outgrown that, and with the right person will enjoy a glass of wine, or beer from time to time. I do like to dine out and go to clubs or bars to enjoy live music when I get the chance. I like all kinds of music, from rock, classic rock, to heavy metal, hip-hop, punk rock, techno/trance, alternative, and very little but some country. My old favorites are Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Bjork, The Cure, Tom Waits, Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane, Bad Religion, Danzig, Tool, Rush, Bob Marley, Aqua Bats, Air, Moby, to name a few. As far as my relationship history, well you’ll have to get to know me to find that out. :P I do prefer a long term relationship/friendship. I think its very important to be friends first, to build any type of lasting relationship. I’m new to dating and trying to figure it out for the first time in my life, as I have always gotten together with people I already knew as friends. It’s a new challenge and I do find it exciting sometimes, other times I find it frustrating. I might seem kind of shy sometimes as far as selecting someone which whom to date, I tend to like to have a connection first. Enter your Message |
