Lovely bunnies in nothing but soft soft fur! That's the best way for rabbit fur to be worn, you know: wrapped around an adorable, silly, cuddly, fun-seeking real live rabbit! I am into all sorts of things, but mainly I do rabbit rescue. Ever met a house rabbit? They come in all sizes, shapes and personalities. And the really sad thing is tens of thousands of rabbits are euthanized every year just because they stop being baby rabbits! This is how it happens: People see baby rabbits in pet stores (on commercials, billboards, tv shows, movies, in petting zoos, etc.) and decide they just have to have one "right now." They don't take the time to learn how a bunny needs to live and be cared for, how much time it takes to care for them - or even how much fun they really can be when given the proper home and attention. And then, when the bunny grows up a bit and needs more space, food, time (cleaning) and attention - people cannot be bothered. So they dump them at a local shelter, or--even worse--turn them loose in parks or mountains where they become nothing but roadkill or dinner for predatory animals. Eight out of ten rabbits bought from breeders or pet stores end up abandoned at some point in their lives. That's 80%!! And that's where rescuers like me enter the picture. I, along with an awesome group of volunteers, take care of the bunnies at a local shelter. We try to find homes for everybun, and we work hard on educating the public about how wonderful rabbits can be - and just what folks need to do enjoy all that wonderfullness themselves!
