Zillur Rahman John is a mime and pantomime Artist, Director, Teacher, Researcher and Author of mime books. John participated 34 international theatre and mime festivals around the world. He directed solo, duet, trio, group and mimodrama productions and conducted innumerable workshops on mime and pantomime art in different countries. John has written books on mime and pantomime art and also contributed more than 200 articles on art and culture published in the Encyclopedia of Bangladesh. Zillur Rahman John received many awards from different countries and has been honoured by the Canadian City Edmonton for his international contributions on this universal art form. He received the award titled "The City of Edmonton Cultural Diversity in the Arts Award 2008".
